Dave Roberts Won’t Divulge Dodgers’ NLCS Rotation Beyond Game 1

Dave Roberts is playing things pretty close to the vest when it comes to his rotation for the NLCS.

Roberts met with the media on Wednesday as his Los Angeles Dodgers await the winner of the Nationals-Cubs series. Roberts shared that Clayton Kershaw will start Game 1 of the NLCS as expected, but he didn’t allow anything beyond that.

Clayton Kershaw will start NLCS Game 1 but #Dodgers Dave Roberts wouldn't go past that. Nothing "set in stone right now"

— Bill Plunkett (@billplunkettocr) October 11, 2017

Kershaw pitched in Game 1 of the NLDS against Arizona and allowed four home runs, but got the win thanks to plenty of run support from his offense. Rich Hill allowed two runs while starting Game 2, but he did not figure in the decision. Kenta Maeda picked up the win. The pitcher who looked best for the Dodgers was Yu Darvish, who allowed one run in five-plus innings picking up the win in Game 3.

Perhaps Roberts will consider making Darvish the Game 2 starter.
