Fremantle utility Hayden Crozier has joined the Western Bulldogs after the clubs agreed a trade for the 23-year-old.

Crozier heads to the Whitten Oval along with Fremantle's 2018 fourth round, while the Dogs give up picks 40 and 82.

The Victorian joins the Bulldogs after 69 games for the Dockers.

Taken with pick 20 in the 2011 national draft, Crozier started primarily as a defender but spent most of his time forward in 2017, kicking 13 goals from 19 games.

Bulldogs list manager Jason McCartney told westernbulldogs.com.au about their plans for Crozier.

“Hayden’s got a great athletic profile, which will allow us the flexibility to play him back, forward or wing, with his aerial game a particular strength," McCartney said.

“We see him primarily at half back which, with the retirements of Bob Murphy and Matthew Boyd this season, will help our defence transition in 2018 and beyond."

That aerial ability McCartney mentioned set tongues wagging ahead of his draft with this huge grab.

Crozier has also showcased his high marking skills at AFL level too, bringing down this hanger earlier this year.
